Exchange Application

To apply to and be considered for ArtCenter’s exchange program, you must be enrolled as a full-time student at one of ArtCenter’s partner institutions. Additionally, you must be nominated by the international exchange office at your home institution.

Please note that the following departments are not open to exchange students: Undergraduate Creative Direction, Graduate Brand Design and Strategy, Graduate Interaction Design, and Graduate Industrial Design. (Undergraduate Interaction Design is open for exchange.)

Unfortunately, we cannot accept applications for exchange from students who do not attend one of our partner schools.

Application Deadlines

Fall: May 1

Spring: September 1

Applicants are typically notified about their status approximately one month after the deadline. Note that the exchange is not available in ArtCenter’s summer term.

Instructions

After you are nominated by your home institution, you will apply through our online system. Do not apply through ArtCenter’s Office of Admissions.

Follow these instructions to set up your account, log in, and complete your exchange application.
